New Bouncer

About a week or two ago we bought Lyla a bouncer Activity center. It has four different activity centers and the seat rotates 360 degrees to allow access to each center. There is a piano, snack tray and bright flower, another flower that turns and makes a winding noise, and a mirror with a toy she can spin. It also has rings for us to attach our own toys. And of course the majority of it is pink! We got the inspiration to purchase one after a trip to target one day. We put Lyla in the display jumper and the look on her face was absolutley priceless! She looked so excited and wanted to touch every toy at the same time. She moved her attention about every second to check out a different aspect of the bouncer/jumper and would return to the previous. It was precious!

Here is the one we bought, just after getting to the house.

Lyla deciphering what this big box is.

Staring out of curiosity.

The bouncer assembled.

This is the flower that turns and makes the winding noise. She looks suprised from the noise. ;)

Focused and determined to grab that flower!

Smiling and playing! She likes it! YES!

Another play station, and Lyla's concentration.

One happy baby.

Bathtime ~ In the Sink~

I have always loved the pictures of baby having bathtime in the sink! And since we give have a bathtub for Lyla I decided to give her a bath in the sink for the sake of the pictures.... she just happened to love it though... ;) Oh, and she has a scratch on her face too. Her finger nails were getting a little long and she made use of them before I got the chance to clip them.
She just maxin' n relaxin' in this picture.

She was splashing here. This face is a result of some water gettin on her face from the splash.
Smiling really big as she got used to it!! She liked be able to slide around in the sink.

Very intrigued by the shiny sink. She puts just about anything she can get close to in her mouth... and she was aiming for the sink here.

I love how the yellow towel and blue highchair bring out her bright baby blues!

Cute picture in the sunlight.

Noticing the yellow color. This is by far her favorite color. Anytime she sees yellow she stops and stares or grabs at the yellow object.

Attacking the yellow hand towel.

Rice Cereal

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! It's harder to get some time to sit down and blog while having two.. little ones in the house. This week I didn't have Jaylin until 2 o'clock however, due to Spring Break. Anyway, Lyla has been eating rice cereal once a day (around dinner time) for almost a month now. She did really well the first time!

Preparing for the first bite! I love her look of concentration!
She was slinging her arms around out of excitement too.

You can kinda tell in this picture how she is leaning foward. She still does this.. It's like we're not shoveling it in fast enough, so she helps us out by shooting foward! Sometimes she does it so fast and unexpectadly that we miss the mouth and end up giving her chin a rice cereal 'facial'. lol

Trying to figure out what the pink thing around her neck is...

MORE PLEASE!!!

Helping daddy out. Sometimes it's a team effort to feed her. One holds the hands down and the other spoons it in. ;) She's doing better not grabbing the spoon. Now we are teaching her not to play with the food currently in her mouth. lol

This picture says "Thanks mom and dad!" to me... CUTE!

The weather has been soooooooooooooooooo beautiful! I absolutley love being outdoors and with the warmer weather Lyla, Jaylin, and I are able to get out of the house a little more! It does good for the spirit I think, to get outside and see the beauty that God set in motion. I stole the great idea from Jana to throw a blanket on the ground, grab a book, and let the kids play with some toys in the backyard. Very relaxing... and the girls loved it too! They did have to adjust to the sun and wind a little.

Saturday, Casey, Lyla, and I woke up to another beautiful day and went to Old Post Park. We had just bought Lyla a cute little summer dress. We quickly changed her into it ( yes yes i know.. we didn't wash it first... lol ;) ) and took Lyla's first Spring Pictures!! We also took a nap and relaxed under some big trees that shaded us.
Enjoy!

We love love love her laugh!!

Relaxing....

This was the first time we sat her in green grass. She was very intrigued.

This was a shot we worked hard for !! We propped her up, leaned her against the tree, and right as she looked up Casey snapped the photo and got the priceless expresion. Ok so I guess we didn't work that hard... just got lucky.

I really like the bright green grass on this one.

One of my favorites.
