Casey's 23rd Birthday

We had a pretty busy and fun weekend! Friday was Casey's Birthday (20th), so he got off work at about 1:00. His mom bought him a round at golf and we went to the Country Club at about 3 for a round of golf. He loves golf! It was fun to watch him and ride around in the golf cart. It was such a beautiful day so we took Lyla. Though, she slept through most of it. The country club is such a nice golf course too. I haven't seen many, but this was by the far the best one. Huge oak trees everywhere, perfect greens and fairways, and no huge piles of brush or un cleared woody areas. It was all very pretty and well kept. Casey did pretty good; He'll be like a pro when he can play more since he already does so well for as little as he plays. There was one hole inparticular that was a par 3 that he almost made a hole in 1! It was exciting. Here are some pictures of that day!

This was a creek at one of the holes. Beautiful!

There were so many places to take a

Casey didn't miss the ball here, by the way. It was a practice swing. ;)

Lyla enjoyed riding in the golfcart. And playing with her pacy...

Gotta love this guy.

Lyla fell asleep about half way through. It was getting colder, so it was perfect timing. I could snuggle her up against and wrap her with a blanket without her disapproval.

After golfing we came home and watched a few episodes of Lost Season 3, snuggled up on the couch. Good times!
Saturday we went to a parenting conference. Then we went home to eat lunch. And then off to Tim and Sandi's house for a fun night of games and food! Seth, Jana, and Caleb were down too for Seth's birthday.

Lyla has been so interested in sitting up lately. It seems she always wants to be sitting up looking around. She's not so excited about lying down in her bouncer, even if its it the 'sitting up' position. She wants to be sitting up straight. lol. So we've been working on it. Also, she gets so excited sometimes and starts kicking or slinging her arms which gets her off balance and she starts to fall. Thats the most common occurance right now. Here are some pictures.
This is me propping her up. Getting ready!

Figuring out which muscle she has to use to keep her from falling foward. I love her face on this one.

Oops!! Falling to the side. She didn't seem to mind to much.

Leaning foward a little, but not falling!! She's getting the hang of it!

Another angle. You can see how well she is doing in this picture! Of course it doesn't last for more than a few seconds. She's doing good if she can get to 30 seconds without getting too excited and falling over! I love it!

BIG Smiles!!! On the verge of laughing at daddy.

I love to see her smile... It melts my heart.

I was looking through some older pictures and found some I really like.
This was in Oct. at a bon fire at my parents house. She was soooooo tiny.

This is probably my favorite picture ever! You can just see the pure bliss on Casey's face. My two favorite people in the world.

This is a picture Vic Hogg took while I was making Christmas cookies with a few friends at their house. I didn't even now he did it! What a blessing.
